At Oslo harbor, Flori found a smooth wooden board with five empty spaces. Luna sat beside him in her warm travel layers. ‘Let's carve what Norway shows us,’ he said.

The Opera House rose from the water on broad white slopes. Its walkable roof became the first clean line on the board.

At Bryggen, narrow wooden buildings stood shoulder to shoulder beside the harbor. A row of steep roofs joined the carved slope.

A waterfall in the fjord
Deep blue water reached between mountains, and thin waterfalls dropped down the steep rock. One silver fall became the third shape.

A wooden spire at Urnes
Urnes Stave Church stood dark and tall above the fjord. Layered roofs climbed toward its wooden spire, which fit the fourth space.

A red cabin in Lofoten
Red fishing cabins perched above clear water beneath Lofoten's pointed mountains. The smallest cabin completed the board.

Five shapes under the lights
At twilight, a soft green light appeared above the fjord. Flori and Luna held up the completed board: slope, row, waterfall, spire, cabin.
